Coalstack
Roadmap

Roadmap

Everything here is planned but not scheduled yet. Priorities shift based on what users ask for, so if something here matters to you, let us know.

Reliability

Coalstack noticing what is wrong with a server, and fixing it with you.

Fixing more causes

Auto-fix and Check for problems cover missing mod dependencies, client-only mods, a taken port, too little memory and an unaccepted EULA. Next: mods that only exist outside Modrinth, swapping a mod built for the wrong Minecraft version when a server fails to start, and checking Auto-fix's downloads against Modrinth's checksums (the Plus upgrade tool already does both for a version change).

Networking

Getting players connected without exposing your home network.

Protected connections

A Coalstack relay between your players and your PC, so your home IP address is never published and you do not need to forward a port on your router. Your yourname.coalstack.org address would keep working the same way.

Distribution & Trust

Making Coalstack easier to install and safer to recommend.

Code Signing

A properly signed Windows installer and executable so the app passes SmartScreen without the blue warning. The installer will be signed with an Extended Validation code signing certificate.
